Yamaha has not only upgraded the Fascino to BS6 state but also made it a contender in the 125 cc segment.  In its latest avatar, the Japanese two-wheeler maker has fitted the Fascino with a new 125 cc engine, discontinuing the 113 cc unit which powered the previous model. The new Yamaha Fascino 125 comes with several new features, fuel-injection technology, and new colours. The new Fascino 125 FI is powered by a BS-VI compliant, air-cooled, fuel-injected (FI), 125 cc engine that produces a power output of 8.2 bhp @ 6,500 rpm and a torque of 9.7 N.m @ 5,000 rpm. Yamaha says the power output is +30% and fuel economy is +16% higher compared to the earlier model and the bodyweight is 99 kgs, which is minimum of 4 kgs lighter than Yamaha’s earlier scooters. The new Fascino 125 FI also gets a 'Stop and Start system' that prevents engine idling and subsequently starts with a single throttle twist, front disc brake with the unified braking system, a 'Smart Motor Generator (SMG)' that uses electronic controls to bring a quieter engine start, and the “Side stand engine cut-off switch”.As the 125 cc segment is already packed with some big names, let's see how the new Yamaha Fascino 125 stacks up against the competition. The Yamaha Fascino 125 BS6 will take on the likes of the Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125, and TVS Ntorq 125.Note: Please confirm with the respective companies for the availability of BS6 models.Yamaha Fascino 125 BS6 VS Rivals [Engine and Power][table id=36 /]Yamaha Fascino 125 BS6 VS Rivals [Dimensions][table id=54 /]Yamaha Fascino BS6 VS Rivals [Suspension and Braking][table id=55 /]Yamaha Fascino BS6 vs Rivals [Price][table id=56 /]The Yamaha Fascino 125 FI is available in a wide range of colour variants -  Vivid Red, Metallic Black, Yellow Cocktail, Matte Blue, Dark Matte Blue, Suave Copper and Cyan Blue.
